Low-income residents can apply for a home energy assistance program in June.
The federal program is administered by the state Department of Human Services.
Applicants must provide a recent electric or gas bill, proof of income for household members, proof of address, U.S. citizenship verification (which includes U.S. birth certificates), Social Security verification and proof of residency if a non-citizen.
